CHALLENGE


The Naked Dog Box is an online seller of food and accessories for pet dogs based in California. They wanted to go in for a box subscription model whereby food in the form of breakfast and dinner, as well as toys, flea medication, poop bags, etc are shipped to the pet owner in a box on a bi-weekly basis, usually. The idea was to provide a completely personalized experience when it came to pet needs.

SOLUTION


The web application suggests the ideal diet for a pet based on input sought from its owner. Characteristics like age, activity and weight of the pet are considered in arriving at the box. Users can go in for add-ons like toys. Pet owners can register to become subscribers to the site. Subscription is made in the name of the pets that will be addressed in the packages. Credit card payment was enabled by using Stripe. Shipping fulfillment was done via third party Fosdick.
